California Community Foundations Pull Together To Provide Wildfire Relief

As unprecedented wildfires continue to spread across the west, community foundations across California, Oregon and Washington are providing needed relief to those in need.

The League of California Community Foundations, through its “Disaster Relief, Recovery And Resilience Fund” is raising funds to help community foundations working on the ground in impacted communities. 

Community foundations are also setting up individual wildfire relief funds. 

For example, the Solano Community Foundation is using its Solano Disaster Relief Fund to grant local nonprofits small grants of $2,500, and large grants of $7,500 for wildfire relief. 

The California Community Foundation is using its fund to provide mid-range and long-range support to nonprofits like housing, food and other immediate needs.
