Greater New Orleans Foundation Provides Hurricane Relief Through Their Disaster Response & Restoration Fund

Hurricane Damage

The Greater New Orleans Foundation is accepting donations toward its Disaster Response & Restoration Fund in response to Hurricane Zeta.

The foundation has previously used this fund to assist with disaster recovery related to Hurricanes Marco, Laura and Beta, as well as challenges related to the pandemic.

“With the support of generous donors and partners, we are positioned to respond to the threat of Hurricane Zeta headed to our region and get resources into the hands of nonprofits working on the frontlines to support our communities when disaster strikes,” said Andy Kopplin, President & CEO of the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

Since March, the foundation has disbursed nearly $4 million in critical grants from this fund, which provides immediate relief and long-term support.

The foundation has also been able to pre-register organizations that respond to disasters in order to get them funds within 48 hours.
